Karl Lansing
Karl Lansing is a man of many talents, the most impressive of which is his ability to create wildlife sculpture in total and complete realism. His enduring love of wildlife and the great outdoors keeps him acutely aware of the smallest details, which he accurately recreates in his work. Karl would much rather spend a day outside in the winter in 25 degree below weather, observing wildlife, than lying on a beach somewhere. Karl spends countless hours in nature, and has involved his entire family in his efforts. In 2007, Karl had the prestigious honour of being named Collector's Choice in 3-dimensional art at the Calgary Stampede, winning him the coveted Stampede buckle. Karl displays his work in galleries in the United States and Canada. He also is involved with and donates to many wildlife organizations. He has a broad range of collectors worldwide and his work is sought after for its anatomical correctness and detail. Karl continues to live in south-eastern British Columbia, where the mountains surround him and he can view wildlife from the deck of his home. His love of nature and family is evident in his life and he looks forward to many continued years of sculpture ahead of him.
