Maggie and Ken Jones
Over 15 years ago, Maggie developed an idea to create three dimensional art by stacking up to 10 layers of paper and framing the finished piece. The work was painstaking as each layer had to be hand cut and assembled one piece at a time, leading to a very sore arm.
As a result, her husband Ken had the bright idea to make it all out of metal instead of light, hard-to-work-with paper. After investing in welding and cutting equipment and selling their home in Spokane, they moved to Newman Lake, Washington and built a shop to operate their new metal sculptor business.
Today, the team of Maggie and Ken Jones create extraordinary metal art. Wildlife, nature and western life are reflected in each piece, with rodeo clowns and wolves being the most popular items. Most of their work is commissioned and there are over 45 designs available in 180 sizes. Each piece is numbered and limited to 100 per size and comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artists. If you can think it, chances are they can create it.
