Ted Oster

Residing in Winnipeg, Ted focuses mainly on birds and animals, many of which are eyeless. He believes the eyes represent the animal’s spirit and cannot be duplicated; so the large voids in the eyes are clear. The small dots surrounding most of his pieces reflect the view all creatures are from the earth and carry the earth with them. His style and use of colour evolved from observing nature. As a self-taught artist, Ted’s style of Woodland art is constantly refining and evolving.
