Maria Paz Scott  

Maria was born in Santiago, Chile. She moved to Calgary in 2003 where she discovered her passion for art. Maria soon fell in love with the texture, the looseness, and the impressionistic feel of “palette-knife” oil paintings. She enjoys painting the beauty of birch trees as well as the contrast of knife texture versus the softness of flowers and the play of colour and composition of abstract painting. Maria is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists.
