Western Showcase is excited to present the 2010 edition of the Western Photo Gallery. Western Photo Gallery provides an opportunity for photographers to share their work as they document the rich history of Alberta, our Canadian Rockies and the Calgary Stampede. The images we so proudly display have been juried by photographic professionals, with our final selection based on image quality, technical quality, image interest and impact. We hope you will consider including one of these images in your art collection.

Western Photo Gallery is also continually looking for new photographers to join our gallery.  Submissions can be made through our on-line entry form.

As part of the Western Photo Gallery, we are re-introducing a Western Photo Competition for 2010. Winning photographs will be selected through a jury process, and we invite photographers to submit images for this competition. There is an entry fee of $10.00 which allows photographers to submit up to a maximum of 5 images. For further information and registration form click on the link under Western Photo Gallery.

I am absolutely honored to display my work at the Calgary Stampede's Western Photo showcase. The event has given my work a tremendous amount of exposure, the volunteers are wonderful to work with, and I absolutely love heading down to the grounds and connecting with Stampede guests to share stories about my work.

2009 was my first experience being involved with the Western Showcase Gallery at Calgary Stampede.  I hope to have many more.  The committee memebers were all very helpful answering whatever questions I had - which was a lot since it was the first time I had printed, framed and displayed my photos publicly. The opportunity to be included in such an event was awesome, and proved to be a great learning experience as well. I am looking forward to 2010.
